Could it be that Yamaha will be presenting the new Montage workstation tomorrow at musik messe?  Since 23th of March the name MOntage is officially a trademark of Yamaha..

It should be based on Reface and Provisionaire touch technollogy…

It could just be the last night of the Motif.. Or it could just be another night like all others…

Just wayt and see, it will come, if not at music messe, then certainly later this year..... The name Motif is over, its legacy however will continue in the Montage…

Maybe Montage is going to be a motorcycle.

The description filed with the name request clearly states its a synth workstation..

So i was wrong…

Which is sad, very sad, as Yamaha fails again to bring a worthy replacement of the Motif XS.. With up to date technollogy.

You have to realize that new products are rarely announced at Musikmesse. They are announced at the winter NAMM show. If you didn’t see what you wanted to see at NAMM,
you’re not likely to see it at Musikmesse. Or summer NAMM, for that matter.

Musikmesse is basically NAMM for Europeans who couldn’t afford to go to the NAMM show
in Anaheim.

This year I don’t think Roland had that attitude though. ;-)

If you’re right, and honestly I believe you are, then the earliest that we can expect a new Motif is next year.

I’m all in favor of moving it to New York then.

If anyone’s concerned I’ll be all right with my current gear. I am an entertainer after all, and with my dated instruments and handsome good looks I’ll get by.

Motif XF 8/2010 (after Summer NAMM)
Motif XF WH 7/2014 (Summer NAMM)

MO 11/2005
MOX 5/2011
MOXF 9/2013

Nashville, Tennesee

As far as I know, it’s a much smaller show than the winter one, and isn’t typically the one where most manufacturers introduce new product. I suppose Yamaha isn’t “typical”.

Psyche. I can do this. I’ve never been to NAMM, even a small one.
Road trip, yeah!

An admirable goal. If you’re not in the industry, though, you’ve first got to have friends…

I exercised my phone a friend lifeline earlier today. I should be okay. I also visited the website and can satisfy the criteria for membership. Either way it should work out. Good Karma and just in time. I’ve not had a vacation in a very long time.
