Hello @ all, i´ve just installed WIN7 Home Premium (64bit), downloaded all updates. No other Software installed. After that i´ve installed Cubase Artist 7.5.3 as well as the Yamaha Stuff (RemoteTools, Editor) AND Steinberg USB Audio Driver, Version 1.9.0-2 (64bit), official from: There are two problems, 1. after a while windows crashes into a blue screen without me doing anything. 2. when starting cubase with a new project - the moxf is synchronizing. after this process i can play about three to four notes - they sounds like a sustain pedal is activated - then win crashes...blue screen. In device manager there is a yellow trinagle and the software “can not be installed”. No more informations on that. Is it possible to get the 1.8.6 drivers to test them? Or is there another reason? PLS, help, its frustrating and i´m a bit confused. By the way - my MX61, running on a 32 bit Win7 Laptop is also having some faults with hanging notes from time to time, but noc crashes...using the same driver 1.9.0-2 (32bit). Thx for any hint and help, best regards Korbinian edit: here is the result of installing the 1.8.6 version (fail). Yes, i´ve already tried to hook up at another usb connector :-( Image Attachments

Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver V1.8.6 for Windows 8.1/8/7 64-bit:
Of course, there’s no assurance that will resolve the problem. EDIT: I just saw your edit, so obviously that didn’t help. |

Try a different USB port on your computer, this worked for me and got rid of the little yellow triangle, although it still didn’t make the drivers any more stable. |

thread can be closed, here is what worked for me: in device manager i have deactivated (not de-installed) the onboard soundcard(s). Unplugged the moxf, de-installed the driver. Shut down Win, install the driver again und pluged in. NOW, there is not found an Steinberg AUDIO Hardware, instead the system is finding the Yamaha MOXF6/MOXF8. |
