After a routine Factory Reset
My question is not an important one as it has never been a ‘functional’ issue.
I understand that my misunderstanding of these filters in general

Basically, if you check one of the boxes, that particular category of MIDI data will be filtered out (not recorded). I think the big picture of the topic is to keep a lot of unnecessary MIDI data from clogging up the sequencer. Aftertouch is filtered out by default because it is such a MIDI event hog, and is really not needed...unless you specifically need it! There are other events that can be filtered out as required, with the end result not recording a lot of stuff you don’t need. EDIT: See page 232 of the Motif XF Reference Manual for the rules and routing of the MIDI filter. |
