First time poster here.

On my Motif-Rack ES, I’m wanting to control a mode change from “Voice” to “Multi” mode as soon as the Logic Pro project loads.

Here’s what the manual says to do:

Under the heading “System Exclusive Messages.”

Mode Change
When received, the mode of the MOTIF-RACK ES will be switched.
* n = Device Number (page 91)
* m = 0, 1, or 3 (0: Voice mode, 1: Performance mode, 2: not available, 3: Multi
mode)

F0 43 1n 7F 00 0A 00 01 0m F7 (Hexadecimal)

I made sure to set the Device Number to 1 in “Utility”.

I inputed the following system exclusive message in Logic Pro -

F0 43 11 7F 00 0A 00 01 03 F7

Note: for “n” I used “1” and for “m” I used “3” for Multi

See also attached screenshot of what it looks like in Logic Pro.

However, the unit does NOT change from “Voice” to “Multi” when I load the Logic Pro project.

Can anyone confirm whether the hexadecimal code is correct, and you’re able to control the mode switching from your DAW?  If so, what am I doing wrong?

Alternatively, is there any way to get the Motif-Rack ES to load in Multi Mode and have a specific multi load automatically?

Basically, I’d like the unit to turn on and automatically be in Multi Mode and pick Multi #33.

That would be much easier than trying to set it up in Logic Pro.
