I have sampled this from a DX7 and programmed voices for use on Motif ES/XS, a total of 10 classical voices from DX7:

The XF can load ES Voice files. See page 236 of the XF Reference Manual. Copy both .W7V and .W8V files to your USB drive. |

Hi! I downloaded the library, but when I imported it into my Motif XF8, the listed sounds were not there, only four banks, two of which were of Initialized Voices, and two of various preset(?) voices. I am importing these as One Bank Voices. Any ideas? -Max |

I believe that there is a “DX Marimba” sound on your XF, under Chromatic Percussion. Hope this helps! -Max |

There is a voice by that name....just no where near the orginal dx marimba sound. Also could you help me with the install...I downloaded the file and put it on a usb stick...put it in my XF8 but it doesn’t show up in the file directory… does it need to be unzipped or something? |

Did you just drag the .rar to your USB? If so, you need to unzip it. I use iZip for it, which is also for Windows. If you already have a PC, just extract as normal. Then, drag the UNZIPPED folder to your USB. When you insert it into your XF, the folder will show up. Then, make sure that the folder is selected, and then press Enter. The .W8V and .W7V files should load then, after you import them. -Max |
