Are the Peter Jung Symphonic Orchestra Sounds compatible with my MoXF8?
If they are, where can I purchase them. The youtube demo video mentions http://www.instruments2go.co.uk. But they won’t let me register since I live in the USA and their registration form has “hard wired” UK as the country.

Thank you in advance
Pierre

Not sure if it’s still a freebie, but on page 8 and 9 in this
http://www.easysounds.eu/MusicProductionGuide_2011_10_EN.pdf
there are instructions how to get it.

A few years old now though.

Best of luck!

Wow… way cool..  But are they compatible with my Moxf8 or are they strictly for Motif XF?

Thanks you again

It’s clearly a MoXF being played in the 2nd link I posted, so I’d say it’s compatible. :-)
Sounds ace too, I’m on the fence with regards to getting a Flash card or not, this may tip me over… ;-)

What started all this on my part is that I recently purchased a Flash card and I want to use it :)

Pierre,
I don’t know if you have since got the free voice library through the EasySounds link as found in any issue of the Yamaha Music Production Guides -
This free content for the MOTIF XF can be requested by sending an e-mail containing the keywords „MOTIF XF Inspiration & Symphonic“ to:xfgoodies@easysounds.de
The MOTIF XF user will receive an e-mail from EASY SOUNDS with a password and a link where the file can be downloaded.
The file is a 346MB .X3A file.
The „Symphonic Orchestra Library“ contains:
 128 User Voices
 34 User Waveforms
 336 MB Samples (979 Keybanks)

Just place the keywords as the subject heading of your email.

Before Jimbowal posted, I was unable to get the easysounds site to work so I wrote to Prof Jung himself.  After a few email exchanges, he very nicely put the library up on WeTransfer (sort of Dropbox) and gave me the link.

I have downloaded it and unzipped it. And, yes it is what Jimbowal said

Isn’t .X3A file for Motif XF?  How would I load that into the flash card of my Moxf8 and use it.  It’s clear in the demo video that the person is playing a Moxf and not a Motif.  So it works.  Is there some special software that I need to convert it to .X6A?

Regards
Pierre

See page 157 of the MOXF Reference Manual for XF file compatibility.

See the Symphonic_XF README.PDF, which indicates that the Voices are in USER 4.

Since the MOXF doesn’t have a USER 4 bank, Symphonic_XF.X3A should be loaded using 1BankVoice - see page 156 of the Reference Manual. You can choose the destination bank in your MOXF.
