Hello,
I watched some videos on Youtube and started reading the manuals.
Let’s say I create a pattern whose length is 4 measures - section A.
An alternative option would be to include a fill in track in section A,
Another small question:
Thank you for any help! |

disclaimer: double check anything I say.
that said, as far as I know, there is no fill in button type feature on the Motif XF.

There’s no ‘fill-in’ button as such, no. You can, however, record a fill on an available Pattern Section. If you want a 1 bar fill, then record your fill in Section XXX as something 1-bar in length (Patterns can be set to any length, relatively.) You could also use, say, the first couple of beats in a Pattern Section ‘as’ a fill, which leads on to the second part of your question. Changing how fast the Section buttons will respond to your prodding comes under Utility: While you’re in Pattern mode…
Press [UTILITY]
So, you can experiment with the speed of change to suit whatever it is that you are doing. |

Hello and thanks for the replies.
OK, this sounds good so far.
I could also copy section A completely and make something like
I know what you mean by 1 bar fill in pattern, but I’ve never used such patterns yet, but I can give them a try in the future.
