I’ve been away from my XS6 for a year and now back. I’ve always used patterns just to assign voices to channels and was able to test out different voices for a channel very quickly. Now I’ve forgotten how I did it and have to go into Mixer mode to change a voice.

Is there a shortcut I have forgotten?  And is this the wrong way to simple create a set of voices for a song?  I do not use the sequencer functions at all.

Highlight the track you want to edit by pressing the number button (1-16) and then press the “Category Search” button in the upper right corner of the keyboard and choose a new voice using the arrow buttons and “Enter”.
