Moxf8 with 1Gig Memory Expansion: I’ve imported a :30 second one-shot waveform onto the FLASH and created a new VOICE. As long as I hold the note down, the one-shot will play its full length without fading. Or if I hold down the sustain pedal, the audio will continue without fading. But, when I fire-off the one-shot, and take my finger off the note, (or release the sustain pedal) the audio slowly fades out over the :30 second period. I’ve tried raising all the Levels and Times to 127 on both the AMP and Filter EGs, but that doesn’t seem to work. Not sure where else to look. How do stop the fade from happening? I need to the one-shot to play at full volume for the entire :30 seconds without having to keep my finger holding down the note or using the sustain pedal. |

Okay, I figured it out:. If you planning on firing-off a one-shot sample that is intended to sustain at full volume for more than, say 3 seconds to say a 4-minute loop without keeping the key held down with you finger for the entire duration of sample, you can’t do that within an ELEMENT in a VOICE. The VOICE’s ADRS EG’s for both Filter and Amp don’t last long enough to continually sustain a one-shot without slowing fading out. I wish there was a “HOLD” option within the ADSR that would allow the one-shot to play its duration length without holding down a key. But, if assign your one-shot sample onto one of the keys on a drum kit in the UDR bank, the one-shots will play to its full length as intended. Here’s the trick. When LOADING your one-shot samples to the Flashdrive, you must choose “ALL” for its KEY # assignment. (don’t choose a dedicated KEY # such as “C2"). Once your one-shot sample is assigned to a key, you must change that sample’s AMP ATTACK and DECAY to “127”. Now, you can fire-off the one-shot (without continually holding down the key) and use both of your hands to play other parts. I hope my explanation is clear. If not, I’ll try to upload a “how-to” video. thanks, |
