Spending more time on Jamulus with band mates - Have been asked to provide a “click” from my xs7. I can create a “click” track in Performance Mode using a specific arpeggio (3817) from a Drum Kit. This leaves me 3 other voices in the Performance to create the sounds I need. All good. But...most of my songs are in Song Mode. Is it possible to create a “click” track in Song Mode? I can pull up the PDR Drum Voice, but the cant get the repeated “click” at tempo “X” to occur. In other songs, I can produce a specific drum voice in the song (Cuica for example), but I am having no luck producing a repeatable click. Thanks - TH |

Ahhh...the click is separate and distinct from the song itself. Great! And I can use/hear the sequencer click from Song Mode in Performance Mode also! Thank you! Thank you! How do I increase the volume of the click? TH |

You’re welcome.

The metronome click is easy to use, but has some limitations (which is why I said “perhaps"). From [SEQ SETUP] > [F1]Click, the volume can be set to the maximum of 127. If that’s not sufficiently loud, in Utility mode the L+R Gain can be lowered from the default +6dB to +0db, so that the click is effectively a bit louder relative to the main sounds. That may still not be loud enough enough, and in addition the click is always sent to L+R, which might not always be ideal.
If you want to set up a user-created click in Song mode, it’s not difficult…
Of course, with the above there’s much more control over volume. In addition, instead of L+R an assignable output can be chosen if you want to keep the click sound separate. |
