Is it possible to get the audio from the MX49 into my DAW without using the analog outs?

Ideally in Pro Tools, but even if it’s just with the Cubase that comes with the MX49, can I get the audio through USB, and if so, how?

Using the MX49 as a MIDI controller in Pro Tools isn’t a problem, but it would be great if I didn’t have to run 1/4” cables from one side of my room to my interface on the other to get the audio.

Audio via USB is possible with an MX. It requires installation of the appropriate Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver, which can be downloaded from here:
