I have struggled during my 5 year ownership of my Motif XF7 to gain any semblance of proficiency with the use of SONGS and PATTERNS.  Finally, this week, after a desperate search, I stumbled onto Mark Johnston’s website http://www.MotifCity.com where he sells Volume I and II of his “Commanding the Motif” instructional manual.

OMG.. my knowledge and use of my Motif has been revolutionized.  Yes, the manuals are a bit pricey, but the professional organization and layout, accompanied by detailed step-by-step instructions, with separate sections for the XF and XS series, are priceless.

Each volume is some 125-150 pages long, well indexed, and a useful relief from the incomprehensible Factory owners manuals.

If you own a Motif, and strive to do more than punch up a preset and play, I strongly encourage you to add these volumes to your library.

Thank you Mark, for your contribution to the Motif Community!

So after struggling for five years, you somehow didn’t find Motifator until now, in order to push Mark Johnston’s website? ;-)
