Can the Inspiration In A Flash, CP1 Piano voice libraries be used in the motif XS, provided on has added memory to the synth?  Are these backward compatible?  Any info appreciated, thanks.

Those libraries are .X3A files, and can’t be directly loaded to an XS. In addition they may use Waveforms or Arps not found in the XS, and Voices looking for samples will be directed to flash memory, not User SDRAM (DIMMs), even if there’s adequate memory in the XS.

You might contact John Melas and ask if his conversion software would adequately handle those libraries.

Thanks 5 pin.  It’s alright, I just wanted to know in advance if it could actually be done in an easy fashion.  No use trying to guild the lily, the XS has great sounds on its own.  Thanks again.
