Hi everyone, Happy Thanksgiving!

I have mainly used my MOXF8 for Recording, but some local musicians want me to play at a Christmas Party, so I’ll be using the MOXF in the Performance Mode, but I’m having trouble figuring out why every part doesn’t have any FX on them except Part 2.

I’ll start with a basic Performance:
1) Part 1 is a Drum Kit.
2) Part 2 is a Bass Guitar.
3) Part 3 is a Trumpet Section.
4) Part 4 is Phaser Vintage EP.

The only Part that has any FX is Part 2.

So how do I get some FX on the other Parts?

Jerry

One possibility is that the Insertion Effect Switch is turned off for the other Parts. There are two places where the settings can be checked, and changed if necessary. The first is via Common Edit, [F6]EFFECT > [SF2]INS SW
See pages 63-64 of the MOXF Reference Manual.

If what’s missing is System Effects, then Reverb and Chorus Send levels might be turned down for the affected Parts. Those settings are accessed via Part Edit,
[F2]OUTPUT > [SF2]EF SEND
In addition, this is the second place the Insertion Effect Switch (InsEF) can be accessed - in this case per individual Part.
See pages 66-67 of the Reference Manual.

It doesn’t matter where an Insertion Effect Switch setting is made - either Edit location works. The advantage of using Common Edit as that all the Parts are accessible on one screen display. The advantage of using Part Edit is that other Effect Parameters for a Part can be simultaneously accessed there.

I hope that helps to resolve the issue for you.

On the System Effects, both Sends were on 0 for the missing FX affected Parts.

Thanks again!
