My question is please
about the firewire voltage
does it come from the motif xs side or the computer side?
What ac or dc voltage is it? and ma or amps is it?
Now please i need to know which of the six pin is the positive an negative for the voltage?
is it at the curve u shape of the the plug in?
Or the flat shape plug in?
Or the middle of the plug in?
that is of the six pin plug in.

reason for the questions
Since the firewire carry a voltage through it.
the more you use the EQs in the motif xs the quiter the motif becomes,in order to compensate for this you have to turn up the volume in cubase.
It gets to the point to where you pick up the frequency of the voltage that goes through the firewire.
Which is bad news.all that noise can ruin your day.
now if left ever thing at factory setting no problem don’t notice the voltage sound.
How would anybody notice it with all those preset sounds.
i would appreciate any help please thank you..

This might help with understanding FireWire power and other issues:

Ground loops are typically the cause of noise problems when interfacing synths with computers.
