Hey Everybody,

I have my Motif XS6 connected to my Mac Mini via USB and everything works great.

I was wondering if I could record the 4 tracks of a Motif pattern or song to Cubase Elements 9 as 4 separate audio tracks, all at one time ?
This way I can do more arrangement edits within Cubase if I choose to.

Many thanks for any feedback,
Cheers,
John S.

Hi jsul701,

Welcome to the forum.

For all 4 parts as digital audio simultaneously, you’ll need a FW16E card.  The USB ‘To Host’ does not allow you to record audio.  FW16E’s are now rare to find.

Beyond that, a separate audio interface will allow you to record a mono or stereo track at a time when connected to your XS’s left and right analog outputs, or two stereo tracks (or 4 mono) at a time if you know how to use the assignable outputs on your XS, as well.
