Hi all, I’m wondering if there’s an automated way to gradually change the tempo of a pattern in chain mode. For example, let’s say pattern A is at a tempo of 90 and B is at a tempo of 130. Rather than inserting a tempo change to 130 at the same bar pattern B begins playing, I’d like to gradually increase the tempo of pattern A from 90 to 130.
I’m currently doing this “the long way” by inserting multiple tempo events near the end of pattern A so it speeds up to 130 by the time pattern B begins...it works, BUT...is very tedious and not very smooth.
I searched all our Motif forums and learned that page 92 of the MOXF6/MOXF8 Reference Manual describes how to do this with the “Create Continuous Data” Event Job. There’s an option under the “EventType” field to control “TMP (tempo)”. Just what I was looking for!
Is anyone aware of a work around to make this happen in our XF? Thanks! |

A-ha! So it can be done in song mode! I was looking at the EventType rather than the track field...Thanks 5Pin :-) |

Yes, the “Tempo Change” Event Type isn’t available until the Tempo track is selected.
