Any idea where I start to make up a voice that just note sweeps right up thru range then down again?

One approach would be to program the PEG (Pitch Envelope Generator) at the Voice Element level. See page 40 of the MOXF Reference Manual and page 9 of the Synthesizer Parameter Manual (http://download.yamaha.com/file/60487).
