I think I understand the question…

Element 5 in the “Arched Top” Voice has XA Control set to “AF1 on”. The Waveform in that Element is “Jazz Slide”. As far as I know, there is not a slide Waveform for Sitar. However, you should be able to create something similar by using a Sitar Waveform and proper Pitch Envelope Generator settings. See Pitch EG beginning on page 9 of the Synthesizer Parameter Manual (http://download.yamaha.com/file/60487).

Also, the “Arched Top” Controller Set Assignment for AF1 reduces the level for Elements 1 and 2 (E-level) when the AF1 button is pressed.

Simply check the readme included in the update package. There are detailed instructions. (Next time perhaps better to start a new thread for a such different topic - just a suggestion.)

You’re welcome.

The v1.12 update file is here:
http://download.yamaha.com/file/68251
Unzip it, and as jozsihome said, the Readme file explains what to do. If anything is unclear, just ask.

From the OS updater Readme…
3. Connect the USB flash memory prepared in step 1 to the USB [TO DEVICE] terminal of the MOXF6/MOXF8. Hold down the [LEVEL] meter button, then power on the MOXF6/MOXF8.

4. After the message “Update MOXF 6/8. Press [REC]” appears, press [REC].

Hold down the [LEVEL] button until the message in step 4 appears, then release it and press [REC].
