Is it possible to use the 8 “Mixer” faders on the Motif XF8 to control or record mixer automation in Cubase? (Kind of like how you can use the transport controls or rotary dial in “DAW Control” mode) NOTE: I am using Cubase Pro 8, not the limited AI version.

Yes, you could use faders on Motif XF or knobs on MOXF to control Cubase Mixer while in Remote mode.
Transport buttons on keyboard corresponds with transport controls in Cubase. Also you could use dial control on keyboard to move to different position while on th track.
