Folks,

I’m a band director who is running pits for musicals.  If I use terminology incorrectly, please forgive me.

I am looking for a board that I can build a list of instruments to be played and advance either with a switch pedal or button on the instrument itself.  I’ve been looking at the MOXF8 because I like the action on the board itself and the overall sound.

What I’m looking for the board to be able to do is to advance through a list of instruments based on the book.  IE:

1.  Grand Piano
2.  Hammond B3
3.  Rock Piano
4.  Electric Piano
5.  Grand Piano
Etc.

I know some of you read this post and realize I am at a very basic level where workstations and synthesizers are concerned.  Thank you for your help.

Yes, you can set up the assignable Foot Switch [FS], for example:  To [Program Change] PC Inc or PC Dec, depending on which direction you would like to go.

Since you are still in shopping mode for your keyboard, you probably haven’t downloaded any Manuals (they are available for free download, BTW), but if you should possess the MOXF Reference Manual, you can find this Foot Switch Increment function described in UTILITY Mode...on page 146.

There are also more sophisticated ways to set up multiple VOICES [PARTS] for live performance and glitch-free transitioning with the MOXF...if you are interested, take a look at This Article.
