Many thanks and i’ll update you on my progress.

...nothing done for now!!
i’ve found these interesting informations (Mitchell Sigman on keybmag 01.2009):
- turn down all the oscillators except for the one that’s not affected by the keyboard (problem i think!)
- set the keyboardless oscillator to a sawtooth wave and tune it to a low A note (other problem: it’s possible on a moxf?)
- put filter in a low pass mode 24dB
- turn the the keyboard tracking all the way up and resonance almost all the way up
- once the filter is tracking in octaves fine-tune cutoff frequency match the pitch to the oscillator’s A note
...
but I can not get the result.
Some practical suggestion for me?

I took the easy way out and sampled it.
I recorded it into logic, separated each note in the riff (16 samples if memory serves) and loaded them into my Motif chromatically so that I could play the riff live.
You can hear the result around 2.42.
Apologies for the weird keyboard heavy mix in the clip, but It was kinda outwith our control…

PS. If you would like to have a go at creating your own version, here is a link to the samples.

PPS. I don’t think the samples would stand up to a studio recording, but for live work they might do the job for you.

Click on the download button - you don’t have to sign up to Dropbox if you don’t need it.
Dropbox will download all 16 samples to your desktop as a zip file, you don’t have to select one at a time.

You are welcome, and I hope you can do something with the samples.
Yes, I’m the keyboard guy.
This was the first time we played together for 30 years - just some old Scottish guys who love making music, in fact our average age is 64...you never loose the buzz of playing live music - that was a good day.

I have a moxf6 without flash card and so no samples loading possibilities.
I’ll be waiting for a step by step recipe from a moxf user.
Meanwhile I continue to experiment. :-)

Sometimes it seems to me that the sound of my moxf is “little” and poor in harmonix (the S6 piano f.e.)
When i hear the instrument played by others on youtube it sounds full and rich.
It’s my immagination?
Or maybe my poor quality as piano player.. ;-)

Sometimes that can be due to insufficient key velocity while playing. You might try setting the Velocity Curve to “soft”. See page 141 of the MOXF Reference Manual.

If you don’t have that manual, it’s available here:
