Hi Everyone,

I’m new to the forum! So grateful for a forum like this…

Can you hookup a U.P.S. from a pc to your ES to prevent power cuts and power surges?

Reason for my question is that my ES is in for repairs now because the sound engineer unplugged the AC of my ES from the wall socket without switching the board off and stuck it back in the wall socket. then my ES didn’t power up again.

Welcome to the forum.

A Motif ES draws about 38 watts of power. If that’s the only thing you intend to run on the UPS, a small unit should easily power it. There are some considerations - you might find this thread informative:
