Can one of the “voices” within a performance be another performance? If so, how do I select the performance to insert? |

Some Voices do indeed use different samples at various note ranges but no, for the most part a Performance is simply a combination of up to 4 (single sound) Voices that are meant to sync to a single clock and be zoned so as to make sense within that Performance. If you like certain aspects of two Performances (hence your question, I assume) you should just look at what is going on in each of them and see if you can create your own quasi combo using those arpeggios, note ranges etc. But there is no merge or mix feature as such. You could, however record two Performances into Patterns and then create your own mix/blend to some extent by the Track MIDI channel assignments. Could be interesting. Could be a giant mess. Experiment! |

This is fairly easy to do, using Performance Copy. A Performance can be copied to a Song or Pattern Mixing, then the tracks moved and a second Performance copied, etc. For details, see http://www.motifator.com/index.php/support/view/how_to_copy_a_performance_to_the_sequencer1 Could definitely be “interesting” or a “mess”, depending on the Performances chosen. |
