I own both a Motif XF and a MOXF but I still haven’t found a way to successfully load the songs/patterns/ Master files I create on my Motif XF to my MOXF.

I am aware that I cannot load MOXF files on the Motif.

However, I have read in various places in the forum that the other way around is possible.

So I have spent quite some time putting together a nice Master with Songs, Patterns etc on my Motif.
But when I am on the road I use the MOXF.

Is it possible to load stuff on the MOXF so that it plays identical like the Motif? Or am I missing something?

The MOXF cannot LOAD SONGS or PATTERNS from the XF.

Unfortunately, you are missing something.

See the table on page 157 of the MOXF Reference Manual, Data Compatibility with the MOTIF XF6/MOTIF XF7/MOTIF XF8. You’ll notice there are exceptions *1 and *2.

SMFs can help with Pattern and Song transfers.

From Bad_Mister, in the linked thread (emphasis added):
If you load a Motif XF ALL data file to the MOXF as File TYPE = all
What actually load is the first 384 User Voices, the first 256 Performances, all 256 User Arps, the 32 Mix Templates, the System data, and any Waveforms, including audio sampled to the Integrated Sampling Sequencer. It does not load any Songs, or Patterns, or Master programs. Nor does it load the Song Mixing or Pattern Mixing Setups (unless you have “Put” them to the system Mix Templates).

Perhaps the Melas Master Editor will accomplish what you want. Hopefully someone who uses it will chime in.
