I’ve 2 questions.

1) Possibility to upgrade Cubase
I’ve installed the version of Cubase came with my MOX: it’s AI5.
It’s pretty old (2009) but it is enough for me.
Should I upgrade it (Steinberg has released Cubase 6, 7 and 8 ...)?
In this case, can I obtain from Steinberg the new version free or should I pay something?
I’ve visited the Steinberg web site, but I couldn’t understand if this possibility is guaranteed....

2) MOX Editor VST
The new release of the MOX Editor VST (1.6.3 downloadble from the yamaha support site) is not compatible with AI5.
Where can I take a previous version?
I suppose that 1.6.0 is still compatible with Cubase AI5, and could be enaough for me.

Many thanks, as usual, for you answers.

Try this:

Since I don’t know how trustworthy that site is, be sure to run an antivirus scan on the download.

Sorry, that link doesn’t seem to be working now.

Thank you 5pinDIN.

As in the meanwhile I’ve understood that also the plugins (in particular YC-3B) are no more compliant with Cubase AI 5, I decided to install Cubase AI 6.

The Steinberg licence supplied with the keyboard was valid both for AI5 and AI6.

I’ve been given by Steinberg’s support a link to download the full setup of Cubase AI6.

All works fine.

Ciao,
Pino
