Yes it is possible with the XF. Microtuning is supported per voice, so you have to edit each voice you want to use the new tuning. You can tweak +/- 99 cents. See pages 56 and 225 in the Reference Manual. |

If you’re converting or changing something that has already been recorded at 440 to 432 and expecting it to sound better, then that’s in line with changing the resolution of an image and expecting it to look better. The digital change will likely degrade the sound in one way or another, too. You would surely need source samples recorded at 432 to get anywhere near the result you wish for. Tuning a real and applicable instrument to 432 and sitting and listening to someone play it nicely, is a very different experience. The ‘change anything to 432 by digital means’ thing is a common misunderstanding, especially rife on blogs and You Tube. (Often trotted out by pot heads who think it affords them a modicum of freedom from something bad) |

Your post count is exactly 440, scary… It’s some kind of sign! |

I like that. Â :-) In case anyone missed the reference, Google “420 pot” (without the quotes). |

Yes, that is particularly appropriate for those of us navigating the haze here in Washington State… Oh yeah, and we can’t overlook you Colorado! |

What you are doing might just sound nice to you, but a different kind of nice to the real 432 with a real instrument that can be tuned that way. Tuning variables of any kind have an emotional impact on people in many different ways. I don’t know of anything in 432, sorry. Being a former lecturer, I got the idea that there was a whole lot of 420 going on around the campus, though ;-) |

I like it, it’s both soulful and euphemistic at the same time...it’s got the funk. |
