Are there any official or unofficial news about XF successor? I’m interested mostly in improvements in sampling synthesis (sustain pedal sample, loading much bigger samples from HDD/SSD/etc., more elements then 8 in one voice), other synthesis (Hammond organ emulation? FM synthesis?), more controller set assignments (6 is small number), changing preset with no sound cut, improvement of processing speed - faster preset change, no chance of having 1 second lag when playing fast glissando using 5 elements (Full Concert Grand+Back Ground), ability to load samples with the speed of a storage media, to set a bigger note shift then -24..24 ...

All of these features are included in current workstations/synthesizers by another company (or companies), and some of them shouldn’t be hard to implement.

Peace, greetings :)

Well there you go then. I’m sure the Yamaha engineers who observe these forums will have taken note.

Unless Yamaha folds its tent of course there will be an XF successor and its reasonably likely they will implement some or even many of your requests. Manufacturers love to tick feature boxes so they can match the competition, and then go several stages further.

Unless someone is willing to commit professional suicide you’ll never hear exactly what and certainly not when from a manufacturer or one of its associates, though.
