I recently purchased an ES8 from a private party and really love the keyboard. I didn’t get the Cubase software though or any of the other software that came with the board. Is there anyway to get copies of the original software either from Yamaha or another source. Thanks |

As I recall, Cubase didn’t come with the ES. It came with the XS. However you ‘can’ get the Drivers,Manuals and Editors HERE |

Dukester is correct. Instead of Cubase the ES was bundled with SQ01, a Windows-only DAW which is no longer supported by Yamaha. |

I still have the original disks / software including SQ01. If anyone requires them, either as files or an .iso or another format, please let me know. I know how frustrating it can be to not have certain software. And,as i’ve just set it all up again with an old PC tower with XP on it (the original OS it was designed for) and it still all works a treat. Great forum and very helpful articles for an old ES7 user. Lee |

Free version of Cubase AI that comes with Yamaha/Steinberg hardware was free for download up to version 6 and could be registered at MySteinberg. Since version AI 7, Steinberg give you a code with your hardware, so you have to enter it at MySteinberg in order to receive link for download.
