Finally, the XS-Rack is mine… just without Cubase (what i get for using ebay).  I was just curious if anyone used Audacity with the rack?  I have a Motif Classic, and have some songs in Song mode.  I would like to use those Rack sounds (multi-mode playing back the song), and use the USB to have Audacity record the song with the Rack.  Is this possible?

One of the differences between keyboard and rack is USB connector. Rack has only USB to host, while keyboard has also USB to device. If you want to record audio using Audacity or some DAW, you should have either some audio interface in computer where you should connect audio outputs from rack. Alternatively, you should have mLAN16E2 or FW16 interface (the other is better) installed in your Rack and FireWire port or interface in your computer. This other solution is nice and I could recommend to you, since in that case you could use only one cable both for MIDI and digital audio recording. Depends on your requirements and, of course, on your budget.
