Hello,
every time I start my XS-RACK it shows message “Now executing factory set” and any stored system settings are reset.

Any ideas what can cause this?

There is a function in the Motif-Rack XS that will perform a Factory Set on each power up, you simply need to turn this OFF and then STORE that as your preference.

This function exists for STORES/STUDIOS where new clients want to start with the unit in Factory Setup condition. Once you own the unit, you want to have the Motif-Rack XS boot up in your personal setup (so all you need to do is turn this OFF and STORE that)..

Press [UTILITY]
Select “Factory Set”
Set the Factory Set = OFF
Press [STORE] to write this into your units Flash ROM.

Thank you Bad_Mister, but the settings are not stored. I’m turning value to off, pressing Store, then Exit, then back to Factory Set and value is On.  After restart still executes factory reset.

Please try again and please note that the [ENTER] button is not involved

Press UTILITY
Select Factory Set
The “Auto Factory Set = off”
Press [STORE]
your screen will read “Utility stored”

Power down, power back on.

Yes, I’m not pressing ENTER after STORE. I’m doing exactly what you told me.  UTILITY -> FACTORY SET -> Turn value to OFF -> STORE ... Executing...Utility stored -> EXIT ( without exit the same ) -> Turn off -> Turn on
And on start up it doing factory reset.
