I downloaded & installed the suitable driver from motifator for my Motif6.
I have Vista SP2.
I plugged in the USB cable. I hit ‘Cancel’. I launched setup.exe.
The installation went without errors and then just ended.
No icons were added to my desktop/start menu/quicklaunch, nothing happens when I plug in the USB, and I couldn’t find the Motif in the device manager… (I don’t know where/what exactly to look for)
I restarted windows, just to be safe. all the same.

Is this normal?
What do I do next?
How do I save midi info to the HD?

Is this normal?

You provide no information about (exactly) what you did download and install. So it is impossible to say if this is “normal”. But you have to just go on faith that if you indeed had the proper downloads installed it would be working. But hard to say, we don’t even know what type of computer you are using other than Windows.

What do I do next?

A little help for a little help. Let us know what you are installing (for example, if it is Cubase what version of Cubase, if it is some other program let us know what it is… you do not mention anything other than it has a setup.exe file). If you are downloading a driver - what is its name and version, does it match your computer version? What is it you hope to accomplish with your computer and the Motif?
