I plan to try some stuff this week with my i-Mac,XS, and a Garage Band type program called

“Band in a Box”.It’s an XP window program that runs virtual on a mac.

The plan is to try some tunes and save them as backing tracks in Wav format on the XP and try them from a USB stick in my XS.

So-do I format the USB on XS or the Windows?

As long as you format to FAT32, it doesn’t matter where the formatting is done. On the other hand, most new USB flash drives come preformatted FAT32, so if that’s the case for the one you’re going to use, leave it the way it is.

If it doesn’t work…
The easiest way to get it working would be to format it on the XS.

DO NOT FORMAT YOUR USB STICK!
It comes formatted FAT(32) and if it doesn’t work it’s broken.
