Hi,

I managed to get a used motif xs6 for $1100 with a gig bag , with some scratchs on the board and one key to be a little loose.

Is it a good Deal?

New it’s $2400.  Very good deal.  If you’re handy, you can probably fix the loose key.  If not, I’m sure it wouldn’t be too expensive to have it done at a Yamaha dealer.  Have fun...it’s a fantastic board!

Here in The Netherlands, we must pay 2500 euro’s for a new motif xs6.

Converted to dollars (December last year) 2500 euro = 3700 dollar!

I’ve got a complete new keyboard (only the keys of course) when some keys of my old yamaha p80 were broken. (Warranty)

So if you’re lucky..

it’s real bargain. take the thing and run before they change their mind. if this is real you’re a winner.

At first I was a bit wary about the deal , but I went to the guys home and checked the board out by my self. It looked okay to me and then I said I want to buy it for this price , the other guy agreed to it.  He said he paid $2500 for it :( , but he wanted to let it go off him. I asked about the history of the keyboard , he told me that it was his girlfriend’s. :|

It may be true or false. But I decided then and there that If I would not take it someone else definitely would.

When I was driving back home , greedy thoughts came to my head and the devil said Dang you should have said 1000 bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well such is life. some people are lucky some aren’t. Guess what I had a 1000 GB hard drive sold to me by a great company (Glyph tech) for very little money just because I honestly ordered a product they had discontinued.
they just went ahead and shipped me their newer, bigger, up-to-date and more expensive model for the same money. The salesman told me you’re one of the lucky ones. I took the thing and exited thru the biggest main entrance just to make sure I cleared without any beeps. you gotta believe in your lucks and be happy. many people aren’t nowadays.
you’re holding a powerhouse within your hands when it comes to making music. Xs ain’t no small place to get started.

And to add insult to injury, I understand you good folks in The Netherlands pay something like 40% income tax. Did that go up yet? The wonders of Socialism.
