What I have learned about the MM6 is that it will not alphabetize your midi files in the root directory of your thumb drive. I thought it was the creation date so I changed all the dates to the same, that didn’t work. When you save it seems random. What I did find out is that you have to create a folder on the thumb drive called “User Files”, then create folders named A - Z then copy your files into those directories respectfully. Once you’ve done that they are alphabetized, however; when you go back later and add to it and you pop the thumb drive into MM6 those files you just added are out of alpha order. When you put the thumb drive in windows the files are all in alpha order. Makes no sense to me, does anyone have the answer? It is quite frustrating when on a gig you look for a song and it’s not in order. Ralph |
