Finally decided to fabricate a drop in platform to keep my pedals in place.  Made from 1/4 inch birch plywood cutting.  The platform fits snugly between the legs of the keyboard stand.  Very simple to build using a table saw and hot glue gun. Slot in rear accommodates cable.

Great idea! For mine, I took a bath mat with rubber backing to keep the mat from slipping on the floor. I put adhesive Velcro strips (the hook part) on the bottom of the pedals and placed them on the mat. Both the pedals and the mat stay in place.
