Inspiration in a Flash (IiaF) is a sample library, with the samples meant to load to a flash module. The Yamaha application is primarily an Editor, and while it will transfer Voice data to the XF, it won’t do so with the Waveform/Sample data. The S700 piano Voice from IiaF uses samples, and if they aren’t installed in a flash module where the Elements expect them, it won’t sound.

For libraries with samples, loading via the XF’s internal function will of course work.

You originally asked about the PSC library, which uses only samples from the XF’s ROM. The Editor should have no trouble dealing with that or any other Voices that use just ROM samples.

If you need more sophistication than the Yamaha Editor provides, then you might consider the Melas software.

Been a little bit, sorry. got a puppy and turns out she is not as trained as originally told. ;)
Ok. if I transfer the sound via motif- sample loads to flash, if editor, sample does not, correct?
If that’s the case, makes sense to test it all out in editor and then go to motif and transfer :)
