Greetings.  Couldn’t find answe here via advanced search.

Query:  can I turn off/disable the loop function in Pattern Play mode?

Trying to record patterns sequentially into DAW but without chaining them.  I’d like to be able to play section A and have it stop, and it gives me a second to pause before hitting play on section B, ....repeat and rinse.

Addendum:  I suppose one way to achieve this would be to play the desired Section, and when I get to last measure, select an empty section and then choose next section I want to record with data.

Haven’t tried it yet, but as usual, possible solutions ALWAYS materialize after I post a question.  Haha

Thanks.

The workaround of selecting an empty section, is the only thing I know will work.

If you have any empty tracks, you could also:

1. Select an empty TRACK
2. Hit the RECORD button
3. Set LOOP to OFF

Now the loop won’t start until you hit the PLAY button and will stop and do nothing further when the Pattern finishes playing.

You may also want to eliminate the COUNT IN bars, so it starts as soon as you hit PLAY.

1.  Hit SEQ SETUP button
2.  Change RECORDING COUNT to OFF.

Hope that helps.
