I have a motif XF and I have the same problem explained in the archive

It seems that this was never addressed by Yamaha. I’ve found and written about other strange behavior that persists without correction from one model and/or OS version to the next.

My suggestion is that you make careful note of Volume and Pan settings that were made in the Mix, then Preset them in the Master, as I explained in my post that you linked to. (Please read the “Caution” section.) That way selecting the Master won’t change, even temporarily, what’s in the Mix.

so pity that Yamaha didn’t fix this problem.

one more problem (for me) is that you can’t fix a maximum value for the slider in all modes. it would be great the possibility to move the slider in the range from 0 to the maximum value that I programmed in my voice/performance/mix/master rather than value 127…
