Hi all

I’ve been using an m audio sustain pedal for years without any issues.

However, I’m unable to get it to work like I want it to ie press it down for sustain. At the moment all the settings under utility do not allow me to change the polarity of the controller to how I want it but it sustains if I let go of the pedal which doesn’t work for me.

Will I need a compatible pedal or is there anything else I’m missing?

Thank you.

The Motifs don’t have settable pedal polarity. If your M-Audio sustain pedal is an SP-2, it has a polarity switch on the bottom. Otherwise, I’d suggest getting a Yamaha pedal, since you can be assured that the polarity will be correct, and that the quality will be good.

Thank you again. I’ve read both those threads and it makes sense.
