I’m trying to program a sound for Blondie’s Heart of Glass.

What I Have:

I have the CR-78 drum loop sampled and looped perfectly. I have modified one of the organ voices to my liking.

What I Need:
I’m trying to combine the two into one Performance patch. Ideally the sample would be where I could hit the C1 key once and it will play until I stop it. The organ sound would occupy the rest of the Motif XS. Having a lot of trouble doing this.

Also, how do I get my well crafted organ sound over to a performance, I must be doing something wrong because I can’t get it to sound the same. Seems like there should be a way to copy the sound over. I’m thinking I must need a step by step instruction because I just can’t get this to work.

These two support articles should be helpful:

http://www.motifator.com/index.php/support/view/drum_kit_loop_tutorial

http://www.motifator.com/index.php/support/view/copying_voice_data_to_a_performance_or_mixing_program

You can use Note Limit to have a Voice assigned to a Part play on a specific range of keys in a Performance. See (15) Note Limit on page 152 of the XS Owner’s Manual. (The word “Element” in that section is used in error, and should be replaced with “Part”.)
