davlippo7, now that you own the Montage, perhaps you could record a couple of demos? I’m mainly interested in the “Hybrid” performances - “Hybrid Cello” for instance. I can’t check them out myself, Montage hasn’t arrived here yet and I’m supposed to check back in… two weeks. |

I’ll see what I can do with making some of those over the weekend. I’m still learning the Montage in what little spare time I have. Shouldn’t take long though and there are demos for those on board as well. I’ll let you know when accomplished. |

Exactly - just hit record and then the audition button. Couldn’t be easier :) Yamaha can’t be a**ed to produce those even though it takes an hour tops, because “the demos will not do you any justice, just go try it out”. I would, except there’s no Montage available anywhere near me, and the idiots at one of the stores told me “if you ordered it, we would get it here much faster"… |

Actually, most of the demos are designed to demonstrate the motion control effects and nuances of each performance so it will suffice until you can touch/audition one in real time. I have also discovered that even when the assign 1 & 2 are lit, sometimes there is no function assigned. BM had a theory that upon updating the performance programs that Yamaha either missed these or simply turned them off yet they remain lit because they once had a function. That’s confusing when you keep pressing the button and nothing happens including they do not get brighter when pressed. |
