I have a mono sound that I want to *not* start a new envelope each time I hit a key while another key is held down. I am sure there is a name for this ... but I do not know what it is. Suffice to say, if I hold down note #1 and strike note #2 - while note #1 is still held down - the AEG kicked of by note #1 is maintained but the pitch changes to note #2.

I thought that the edit/common/mode/key assign mode = single might do this for me ... alas, it does not.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Many thanks.

With mono, I believe the MOX can do what you want by applying Fingered Portamento. See page 26 of the MOX Reference Manual, and page 42 of the Synthesizer Parameter Manual (http://download.yamaha.com/file/48523).
