Hi Chaps,

Is it possible to send the output to the assignable jacks when in voice mode? I can do it in song/pattern but cannot seem to find a way in voice. is this not possible or am I missing the obvious (probably!!)

I have the normal left/right outputs going into a mixer->amp and the assignable L/R going into the line in’s of a Fantom G. I want to record a Motif voice direct into the G to compliment an arrangement I am making. Now I can do this if I use the Motif Song mode but as its a single voice I was trying to set the voice up for assignable output and cannot find a way

thanks all

Steve V

No, unfortunately you cannot route a VOICE (VOICE Mode) to the assignable out.

In Voice mode only the A/D Input signal can be sent to the Assignable Outputs. It’s Parts that can be assigned, not only in sequencer modes but also Performances. See (12) ASSIGNABLE OUT L and R jacks on page 18 of the XS Owner’s Manual.

A Part that’s assigned to those outputs won’t have effects applied and won’t appear at the L/MONO and R jacks. You could place the Voice in a Performance. If it needs to appear at both the main and assignable outputs, the same voice could be copied to two Parts, assigning one of the Parts to the Assignable Outputs.
