Hi there,
I recently started using Logic, and I found:

When using Cubase, after install the remote software, you can automatically have a folder with 16 channels.

When using Logic, I cannot use remote tools to manage the channel. The MOX 8 channel (External midi ) will conflict with the software instrument.
This makes me can only use one channel with mox voice.

Besides, the remote tools cannot save what I have done. Every time when I select another voice, the tempo will change to original.

So can logic be like Cubase when using MOX 8?

Thanks

Coni

Hi coni,

I’m wondering if you might be confusing Remote Tools with the MOX Editor.

If that is the case, there isn’t an AU plug in version of the MOX Editor for Logic, but there is a standalone version, and it will happily run opened up alongside Logic.

Hi Philwoodmusic,
Thanks for your reply. Yes I mean MOX Editor.
And I am still confused with the midi channel.
I first created External midi channels 1-5 using MOX8 voice, and entered the chord, then I created a software instrument channel 6 using logic voice. When I play, the channel 6 will play the same chord and patten as channel 1 or 2\3\4\5.
So, logic cannot figure out the midi port is given to mox or software voice.
I hope I have described it clearly. I will send you screenshots.
Thanks for helping me!
Coni.

Voice Mode on your MOX is not a multi timbral mode. That means it is incapable of supporting multiple voices on multiple midi channels.

If you want to assign different voices to different MIDI channels and work with a computer, then you should be using Pattern or Song Mode because they support up to 16 different parts on 16 different MIDI channels.
