Hi there! is my fist post!
Im going to own soon a moxf, so i’ll be here reading a lot when that wappens.

Besides that, i have seen a video of a kronos and a xkey join together with just a usb cable. This is the video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRd4RVJSmBg

Im wondering now if that conection would be possible between the moxf and the xkey. What do you think?

Cme has also the xkey 37 wich comes with a propietary cable with midi out and pedals inputs, but i prefer the smaller one…

Thanks!

(sory for my english, im from Argentina)

Welcome to the forum.

The Korg Kronos can act as a USB MIDI host, and will allow direct connection of the CME 25-key Xkey.

The MOXF cannot act as a USB MIDI host, so either a computer or a device such as the Kenton USB MIDI Host would be required between the 25-key Xkey and the MOXF.

Otherwise, the Xkey 37-key model could be used with 5-pin DIN MIDI.

I think it isn’t possible to connect to an XS or XF, right?
How about connecting via 5pin MIDI, but powering up the Xkey via XS’s USB port?
Thanks in advance.

The comments in my previous post about MOXF connectivity apply to the XS and XF as well. Yes, the USB “TO DEVICE” port of an XS/XF can provide power for the Xkey37 and the MIDI connection could be made via 5-pin DIN.
