The Korean links have been erased. Too soon before official launching

the demos were interesting, very nice for a little toy-aspect keyboards.

Only a few hours of waiting and we´ll see in all Yamaha webs.

Meanwhile Yamaha launched 2 weeks ago the CVP-700 series (CVP-709 etc) a mixture of CLP+Tyros engine+specialities but without flash memory.

And when Montage? Successor of Motif XF? or “assembling” reface engines and something more in a bigger size keyboard including plug-outs ala Roland way.?

not ideal just to post a link with no explanation! Could for all we know go to Malware or Virus.

I have just been watching some of the Reface release webcast and must say it’s crap even though it sounds good. But really… Who want’s toy keys???? And who want’s that kind of specialized toy instrument???

I don’t know the price yet but it got to be really cheap if someone’s going to buy it…

The interresting about this is that Yamaha has developed 4 new engines for different intstruments… If you combine that with a great user interface with lots of real time control, Motif engine, and some sample memory maybe you have the Montage???

The same folks who buy a microKorg or IRig? Or want an organ module?

Thinking competitive with Korg and Roland “toy keyboards”.

My best guess right now too…

I’ve seen and played these (of course, I couldn’t divulge that information until today).

The target market is the same as the market for Korg and Novation’s “toy” keyboards, which
have been selling very well.

While the Reface products may “look” toy-like, they certainly don’t sound like toys. They sound awesome. Particularly the CP and the virtual analog models, those are my favorites.

It’s very easy to connect a full-size keys Midi controller to any of the Reface products if you
want to feel like you’re playing a “big” synth. But you still have the advantage of a very small keyboard that can run on batteries, has built-in speakers, fits in a laptop bag, and has Midi
and usb connectivity so you can connect it to a computer. Perfect for the road.  Sign me up.

I certainly wouldn’t judge an instrument by what I’ve read in a forum.  As it stands I could use the small analog model, provided it’s proper for me. I could care less how big it is, what color it is, or who else is playing one. It’s all about the sound.
