And what Pre, if any, will be used on the Apollo (hopefully not the same Pre as my Vocals are using)?

Phil, what I’m getting at is if the MOXF going through X Interface will use the X Interface Pre, I’m cool with that.

I would just like to not use the same Neve Pre that I’m using for Vocals.

PS

Can you answer my question on another Topic on how to increase the usb output level?

When you attach another device via the ADAT connection to the Duo, anything plugged into that other device will use the pre-amps on that device and the signal will then go digital to your Duo, which means it will not use the pre-amps on your Duo.

Anything plugged into the Duos inputs will though.

I’m sure you won’t have to change anything you do if you are referring to a plug in when you say ‘Neve’

Perfect (and yes, the Neve I refer to is a Neve 1073 Preamp and EQ Collection Plug In) !

What’s a good 2 to 4 channel pre that has ADAT out and doesn’t cost a “fortune”?

This one has 8 ins and an ADAT output.  It is very good value for money.

2 ins on the front for easy use and 6 ins on the back.
