A recent thread in the XF forum has me questioning whether I’m being reasonable or not. I’m referring to:
http://www.motifator.com/index.php/forum/index.php/viewthread/475495/

My main concern is that posting of certain material could be problematic for Motifator, whether intentional or not. However, I also don’t want to unnecessarily discourage Motifator members. I like participating here, and I want others to feel that way as well.

So, folks, please let me know what you think. If it’s that I’m going too far, just say so and I’ll reconsider my approach.

Thanks.

No problemo. If it talks like Ron, if it walks like Ron, and if it posts links to Ron, it’s Ron. Version 4.0.  My only question is how Sharp has managed to eliminate this for good.

99.9999%
5PinDin has success ‘connecting’ with the original poster.
This may be your 0.0001% dis-connect.
Personally, I think you do exceptional work.

From the grammar and structure of wordings used by the Op, it seems using English is a problem?
Maybe if the OP would identify country and language, someone could translate to that.

Completely reasonable behaviour, I’d say.

Mate,

It seems to me like something got lost in the communication. What you said seemed clear to me. But it was not understood by the poster.
That was either because:
a) language issues - the poster’s use of language seemed to indicate English was not a first language. Motiforum is international after all. But your point was clear and unequivocal.
b) the user was a newbie and therefore did not understand the content or context of what you with your experience was telling them.
c) the user was indeed doing something on the dodgy side and trying to cover.

I think a and b are clear to see, though c somewhat less so.

Nonetheless, your commentary was clear, accurate and should have helped resolve an apparently simple issue. Umbridge was taken by the poster where none was given.

Keep posting your helpful posts mate.

Cheers
