Hi Guys,

I have a MOX6 and work with Cubase 5.

I can basicly record MIDI with Cubase (As explained in the article called: Basic MIDI recording) with the local control-OFF. (Quick Setup 1/A)

And also I can record as audio in Cubase (by calling up Quick Setup 2).

The problem is, when I record as audio, I can not fix my errors on the audio track in Cubase.

What I want to do is; record in MIDI format, do my fixing around in MIDI editor on Cubase and get an audio output for my mixing purposes.

I do not want to use MOX/VST option since it uses much more resources on my Computer.

Your comments are appreciated!

Thanks

I’m not up on those quick setups so not sure about that.

I go into utilities/midi and set the timing from internal to midi then turn local off, then in cubase on the transport menu sync setup and send midi clock to the mox.

Record your midi then edit it then while you’re playing it back record the audio output of the mox on an audio track.

You could also do a mixdown in cubase by selecting that audio channel in the dialog.

Record your midi then edit it then while you’re playing it back record the audio output of the mox on an audio track.

That is my question actually. How can I do this exact operation?

As you also know, while playing MIDI back; MIDI signals trigger the MOX tone generator and we can hear the audio signals via headphone or audio outputs.

How can I route that audio signal back to the Cubase and record?

Thanks

Read about QUICK SETUP in the manual.

Sorry, I’m an idiot! I do not understand the manual!
